‘Die Every Day’ by Gordon Bickerstaff

Die Every Day

When Gavin Shawlens finds himself on a murder charge, he admits he’s to blame. With all the evidence pointing directly at him, it seems the only option is to plead guilty. But if he goes the other way, the consequences for the Government could be catastrophic, so to ensure Gavin doesn’t escape the charge, Lambeth Group agent Zoe Tampsin is called in to question him. But as Zoe digs away at the facts of the case, she finds it doesn’t fit with the police reports.

This is another book in Gordon Bickerstaff’s Lambeth Group Thriller series, and like the others is packed with action, smart moves and lots of gun-toting bad guys. Having read most of Gordon’s books, I knew what to expect and this one gets off to an exciting start. While the book is tightly plotted, the writing wasn’t quite as sharp as I’ve come to expect from this author. However, once butt-kicking Zoe leaps into action, the story zips along, with plenty of twists to keep readers wondering who’s going to come out on top.
